There are no volume, VWAP, or trend filters layered on top. This is a raw price velocity screen — it detects the event, not the context. The simplicity is intentional: it surfaces any stock meeting the threshold and leaves interpretation to the trader. The 5-minute timeframe makes this sensitive to individual large prints, news catalysts, and stop-loss runs.
A 1% single-bar drop has different implications depending on whether it occurs at the open, midday, or into the close, and whether it breaks a prior level or is intrabar noise.
